CD61 Mouse anti-Human, PE, Clone: F11, Invitrogen
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen CD61044
Mouse anti-rat CD61, clone F11, recognizes both human and rat CD61 antigen. Use dim light during handling, incubation with cells, and prior to analysis. It is recommended that cells be analyzed within 18 hours of staining. If the reagent is being diluted, it is recommended that only the quantity to be used within one week be diluted. The ITGB3 protein product is the integrin beta 3 chain (CD61). Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins and are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signaling. Integrins are composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. A given chain may combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. Integrin beta 3 is found along with the integrin alpha IIb chain (CD41) on platelets and megakaryocytes, and is also known as the vitronectin receptor. The vitronectin receptor mediates cellular adhesion to vitronectin, fibrinogen, fibronectin, thrombospondin, and von Willebrand Factor1. On myeloid and endothelial cells, and osteoclasts, CD61 is associated with the integrin alpha v chain (CD512).
