Dengue Virus Type 1-4 Monoclonal Antibody (Dengue 1-11(3)), Invitrogen™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Thermo Scientific MA182795
MA1-82795 recognizes all four Dengue Virus serotypes (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4) of the genus Flavivirus. In Western blot, MA1-82795 detects an anti-E/envelope specific band at ∽61kDa under reducing conditions. A weak secondary band of 80kDa may also be apparent. Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using a sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for the staining of paraffin sections.Dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics and Africa. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, which feeds during the day.
