Standard Features

• Three configurations available: auto lift, auto rack, and basic
• System consists of a digestion unit and tube rack with capacity for either eight or twenty tubes
• Audible “ready” or “cycle over” alerts advise user when digestion application is completed
• Audible “alarm” alerts advise user when errors/interruptions occur within running application program

Basic Model

Auto Lift Models

• Fully automated digestion with user interface adapting to actual product configuration
• GLP-support through two-way PC communication
• Auto Lift models, with exhaust docking facility, allow fully automated unattended operation
• Facilitate highly automated procedures, eliminating heavy and risky handling of hot chemicals; save fume hood space
• When lift or scrubber unit is connected, they are controlled by the selected application program
• Exhaust manifold docks automatically with the tube rack as the tubes move down into the preheated digestion unit; scrubber unit, if connected, starts
• Scrubber capacity is automatically adjusted to contain fumes and minimize acid losses
• When digestion is completed, the combined tube rack and exhaust manifold move to the cooling position with scrubber unit still running until no further fumes are evolved
• Audible signal indicates “cycle over”
• To avoid spillage, a drip tray is inserted under exhaust manifold after cooling

Auto Rack Models

• Allow automated digestions but require manual placement of tube rack and exhaust manifold which are stored above the digestion unit
• Can be upgraded to Auto Lift systems

Software for Auto Systems

• Preinstalled software system controls all necessary functions of the unit
• Additional PC application software has two-way communication with Digestion Unit via serial RS-232 cable (supplied)

For reflux chemistries, such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), a reflux head connected to a cold water supply should be used in place of the exhaust manifold. For Kjeldahl digestions, the Scrubber Unit (TC2501-001) should be considered for neutralization of corrosive gases; this replaces the water aspirator. For most Kjeldahl digestions, straight 250mL tubes are recommended.
