Goat anti-Human Kappa Light Chain Secondary Antibody, Invitrogen™
Goat Polyclonal Secondary Antibody
Supplier: Thermo Scientific 31129
Description
Product No. 31129 has been successfully used in Western blot, IF, ICC, ISH and IHC applications. Product No. 31129 reacts with the kappa light chains of human IgG, but does not react against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Based on solid-phase enzyme immunoassay, this antibody has minimal cross-reactivity with human gamma chain (1%), human lambda chain and human lambda IgG. However, this antibody may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species. The activity measured by a solid phase binding assay is 97%. Store product at 4°C until opened. To extend the shelf-life of this product, add an equal volume of glycerol to make a final concentration of approximately 50% glycerol and store at -20°C.
The Thermo Scientific Secondary Antibodies featured here are affinity-purified polyclonal antibodies with well-characterized specificity for human immunoglobulin classes (IgG, IgM, IgA). Each of these anti-human immunoglobulin polyclonal antibodies is affinity-purified using its target antigen (i.e., the target human primary antibody class, subclass and fragment) coupled to an agarose support. Affinity purification eliminates nonspecific antibodies, resulting in high specificity and low background. The purification process involves an elution procedure, that yields antibodies with high avidity. Conjugated antibodies are affinity-purified before being labeled and contain bovine serum albumin as a stabilizer. Species Abbreviation KeySelected secondary antibodies have been further purified to minimize cross-reactivity to serum proteins of other species. This purification is accomplished by adsorbing the antigen-purified antibody to an affinity column containing immobilized serum proteins of selected species.Specifications
