Invitrogen™ GST Recombinant Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (GST 3-4C), HRP, Invitrogen™
Mouse Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ 740007MHRP20UG

Description
GST Tag recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody conjugated with HRP specifically recognizes GST Tag at both C and N-terminus of proteins. Recombinant mouse monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Recombinant antibodies are produced using specific genes that code for the desired antibodies. These genes are cloned into an expression vector and expressed in vitro. The advantages of recombinant antibodies include better specificity and lot-to-lot consistency. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26kDa protein, present in eukaryotes and in prokaryotes, where they catalyze a variety of reactions. Glutathione Stransferase is used to create the GST gene fusion system. This GST-fusion protein can then be purified from cells via its high affinity for glutathione. Fusion Proteins offer an important biological assay for direct protein-to-protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
