Description

PA1-9580 detects HSL in mouse samples. PA1-9580 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry procedures. By Western blot, PA1-9580 detects a ∽83 kDa band representing HSL, with a non-specific band at ∽40 kDa. PA1-9580 immunogen is (LSGRKPQKTTSPTAES) mouse HSL protein.

Hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) is an intracellular neutral lipase found in a variety of tissues, but primarily in adipose and steroidogenic tissues. It hydrolyzes triglycerides and cholesteryl esters. It is the major enzyme responsible for the mobilization of free fatty acids from adopise tissue.
