AP is an enzyme primarially localized in plasma membranes. It can remove terminal phosphates on several types of molecules and thus it is an important tool for biological research. When alkaline phosphatase is coupled to streptavidin and immobilized to the solid phase in ELISA, HYB 252-08-02 binds strongly to the presented alkaline phosphatase.
