RMBIO produces US origin iron supplemented calf serum for use in cell culture media. Supplementing iron to calf serum can enhance serum transferrin levels and in many cases be a much less expensive alternative to FBS in promoting cell growth and its effectiveness. The average endotoxin level is < 2 EU/ml (the specification is ≤ 10.0 EU/ml) and the average hemoglobin level is < 15 mg/dL (the specification is < 30 mg/dL). The calf serum is sterile 0.2 µm filtered, 9CFR tested, and is manufactured at RMBIO's GMP compliant, ISIA traceability certified, and FDA registered facility. Product should be stored at ≤ -10° C.
