Description

Benchtop unit for determining crude fiber in feed, food and other agricultural products as outlined in AOAC™ methods. Amount of crude fiber is determined by subjecting sample to simulated digestive action. Samples are boiled in acid, washed, boiled in alkali and washed again. Loss upon ignition is defined as crude fiber.

  • Compression spring holds beaker rigidly between heater and condenser during digestion
  • Tight seal keeps acid and alkali at constant volumes during boiling
  • Complete for six samples
  • Requires connection to water source
