Description
Lanthanum(III) perchlorate hexahydrate participates in the preparation of the Schiff base complexes of lanthanide (III) ions. When hydrated lanthanum perchlorate in ethanolic solution is treated with an ethanolic solution of terpyridine, [La(terpy)3](CIO4)3 is deposited as very small crystals.
