    Save hours in sample preparation, and go from extraction to injection in a single process with Thermo Scientific™ HyperSep™ MEPS™ (Micro Extraction by Packed Sorbent) technology.

    Suitable for reversed phases, normal phases, mixed mode or ion exchange chemistries, Thermo Scientific HyperSep MEPS Syringes and Components for Analytics are available in a variety of SPE phase chemistries. The HyperSep MEPS Barrel Insert and Needle Assembly (BIN) contains the stationary phase, and is built into the syringe needle.

    These HyperSep MEPS BINs are designed for use with Thermo Scientific, CTC Analytics, HTA and Varian 8400 LC Systems.

    MEPS performs the same functions as SPE—the removal of interfering matrix components and the selective isolation and concentration of analytes—except that it miniaturizes conventional SPE packed bed devices from milliliter bed volumes to microliter volumes, and incorporates them right into the syringe.

    Mechanically robust, the technique offers significant advantages over conventional SPE extraction for method development and other GC applications:

    Significantly reduces the time to prepare and inject samples from hours to minutes—typically less than two minutes per sample

    Eliminates all extra steps between sample preparation and sample injection; the technique is fully compatible with direct injection onto GC

    Reduces buffer and solvent volume from milliliters to microliters

    Reduces the required sample volume to as little as 3.6µL, making the techniques especially well-suited for on-line use with volume-limited samples

    Can easily be automated compatible and is compatible with CTC and eVol platforms
