Supplier: Epredia™ MS1035R7
Description
Stromelysin, a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family, demonstrates wide substrate specificity with the ability to degrade proteoglycan, fibronectin, laminin, casein, and the nonhelical region of collagen. The stromelysin-3 (MMP-11) gene was originally identified on the basis that it is expressed specifically in stromal cells surrounding invasive breast carcinomas. MMP-11 is localized by in situ hybridization to the long arm of chromosome 22. The MMP-11 expression is found more specifically in malignant tumors than in benign ones.Host Species: Mouse
