Description

Full-facepiece, Type C supplied-air respirators provide respirable air on demand as well as emergency escape from Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH) atmospheres. Can be used with a large compressed-air cylinder or a bank of cylinders set up in a cascade fashion. The PremAire system is composed of four major parts with optional air cylinder.Ultravue™ facepiece. Scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens with wraparound design hugs eyes for minimal visual distortion. The inhalation check valve prevents exhaled air from entering breathing tube or regulator. Features mechanical speaking diaphragm for short-range communication, five adjustable rubber straps and a vinyl neck strap for holding facepiece in standby position.Regulator. Mask-mounted. Regulates and reduces 60 to 100psig air supply to a breathable pressure. Also maintains slight positive pressure inside the facepiece to prevent contamination if a face-to-facepiece seal leakage occurs. The pilot diaphragm closely monitors breathing demands, resulting in a low-profile, high-performance unit that rapidly reacts to changing breathing requirements.Manifold. Patented air distribution center features five ports for air supply hoses and PremAire system options, allowing versatility and complete customizing. Mounts to the waist belt.Waist Belt. Manufactured of nylon. Accommodates waists up to 48 in. (121.9cm).Air Cylinder. Optional. Fully wound and belt-mounted. Provides emergency air if the primary air supply fails or is interrupted. Ideal for IDLH atmospheres.
