Description

MA1-34004 detects CD62P from human samples. MA1-34004 has been successfully used in flow cytometry and Western blot applications. The MA1-34004 immunogen is: Human platelets. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

P-selectin is a 140 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein, and is one of the most commonly studied proteins that regulate cell rolling. P-selectin is stored in the Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells, as well as in a-granules of platelets. From there, it can be rapidly brought to the cell surface after exposure to thrombin, histamine, complement 5a, Ca21 ionophores, or adenosine diphosphate.
