Description

Description

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Bovine and Pig. Recombit rabbit polyclonal antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are comprised of a selection of multiple different recombit monoclonal antibodies, providing the best of both worlds – the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies - all delivered with the consistency only found in a recombit antibody. While functionally the same as a polyclonal antibody – recognizing multiple epitope sites on the target and producing higher detection sensitivity for low abundance targets – a recombit rabbit polyclonal antibody has a known mixture of light and heavy chains. The exact population can be produced in every lot, circumventing the biological variability typically associated with polyclonal antibody production.

Rb is a tumor suppressor nuclear phosphoprotein capable of binding to DNA. It is phosphorylated on serine and threonine, but not on tyrosine residues. It forms a complex with SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and human papilloma virus-16 E. Rb protein may act by regulating transcription and loss of its function leads to uncontrolled cell growth. Aberrations in the RB gene have been implicated in cancers of breast, colon, prostate, kidney, nasopharynx, and leukemia.
