For Use As Dehydrating and Chlorinating Agent, Catalyst

Phosphorus(V) chloride can be used for both oxidative and substitutive chlorinations, & for both organic and inorganic compounds. Dehydrating agent. Precursor to Vilsmeier reagent, lithium hexafluorophosphate electrolyite for lithium batteries.
