Improve the recovery of dimorphic pathogenic fungi with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Ammonium Hydroxide Concentrate.The use of ammonium hydroxide concentrate with Yeast Extract Phosphate Agar helps in primary recovery of dimorphic pathogenic fungi as demonstrated by Smith and Goodman1. Ammonium hydroxide is a selective agent that improves recovery of dimorphic pathogens2. One drop of concentrated ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) is added to inoculated agar plate to decontaminate the sample3.
Ammonium Hydroxide Concentrate reagent is recommended for use with Yeast Extract Phosphate Agar Part Nos.
