Description

Condenses and removes a wide variety of solvent vapors that can contaminate and degrade vacuum pump oil with Thermo Scientific™ Savant™ Refrigerated Vapor Traps (RVT). The RVT safely recovers the solvent and reduces emissions of hazardous chemicals in the environment.

Solvents are removed from samples during vacuum evaporation with a SpeedVac™ Concentrator which are then collected in a CFC-free Refrigerated Vapor Trap (RVT).   Solvent vapors pass into a Glass Condensation Flask and condense on its walls. This prevents the vapors from reaching and potentially damaging the oil-sealed vacuum pump.
