Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

PA1-25450 detects SMARCB1 from human samples. PA1-25450 is expected to cross react with mouse (100% conserved) and zebrafish (100% conserved) due to sequence homology. PA1-25450 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The PA1-25450 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, corresponding to residues A(294) L K L C S E L G L G G E F(307) of human SMARCB1 with N-terminally added Cysteine. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

The protein encoded by this gene is part of a complex that relieves repressive chromatin structures, allowing the transcriptional machinery to access its targets more effectively. The encoded nuclear protein may also bind to and enhance the DNA joining activity of HIV-1 integrase. This gene has been found to be a tumor suppressor, and mutations in it have been associated with maligt rhabdoid tumors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
