Description
- Designed for collecting, transporting and maintaining the viability of aerobic, anaerobic and facultative microorganisms
- Swab tips available in single, double or straight wire format
- Applicators have color-coded caps with overskirt and biohazard plug-cap rings; extra-long swab shafts; and a labeled, round-bottom, spiral transport tube
- Transport tubes contain 4mL of semi-solid media
- Spiral media chamber within a seamless polypropylene tube protects sample and keeps it immersed in media during transport
- Labels preprinted with lot number, expiration date and product code with space reserved for recording patient information
- Gamma sterilized and wrapped in sterile, easy-to-peel envelope
Amies Clear Medium
- General-purpose transport medium for recovery of a wide range of organisms, including certain anaerobes
- Provides excellent survival characteristics for transport and gram stain compatibility
