Thermo Scientific™ HyPURITY™ Cyano HPLC Columns are based on the HyPURITY 190Å silica—the highest quality silica available and essentially metal-free with exceptionally stablity at high and low pH. The rugged and robust manufacturing process ensures reproducibility and optimum quality, batch after batch. Within the manufacturing process, extra care is taken to ensure an extensively homogenous silica surface. This surface is a key precursor in the preparation of uniform bonded phases. Cyano functionality is generally less hydrophobic and therefore compounds are less retained compared to other alkyl phases, though it does have strong dipole interaction. Additionally, cyano can be operated under either reversed-phase or normal phase / HILIC conditions.
