TNF beta Monoclonal Antibody (359-81-11), APC, eBioscience™, Invitrogen™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen 17732781

Description
Description: The 359-81-11 antibody reacts with Tumor Necrosis Factor-beta (TNF-beta), a potent lymphoid factor that exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and other target cells. Applications Reported: The 359-81-11 antibody has been reported for use in detection of human TNF beta by ELISA and intracellular staining for flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This 359-81-11 antibody is offered in 2 formats: - μg size: has been tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of TH1 polarized restimulated normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.125 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. - test size: has been pre-titrated and tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of TH1 polarized restimulated normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at test size: 5 μL (0.06 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser. Filtration: 0.
TNF beta, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4 and psoriatic arthritis.
