Mivacurium dichloride is a benzylisoquinoline derivative that functions as a short-acting non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent and skeletal muscle relaxant. It works by coupling with the nAChR (nicotinic acetylcholine receptor) to reduce or inhibit the depolarizing effect of acetylcholine on the muscle cell's terminal disc.
