Flucloxacillin sodium is an active antibiotic effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is for research use only and not sold to patients. In a study with male Wistar rats, Flucloxacillin sodium (200 mg/kg; i.p.; three times/day, for 21 days) was effective against common bacterial strains in periprosthetic infection, leading to reduced germs in the biofilm and bone tissue.
