Replace your ice buckets or inconvenient freezer blocks with this compact, economical benchtop chilling/heating block. Features include a two-line LCD that reads actual and set point temperatures, 30-day countdown timer with alarm and auto/off, built-in data logger, and RS-232 I/O port for bidirectional communication with an IBM compatible computer. Energy-efficient Peltier design chills or heats biological samples from -10 to 100C with ±1C digital control.

Use these heaters as a dry, constant temperature source for various lab and research applications. All models have independent indicator lights to show main power, heater action, and over-temperature cut out. The "number of blocks accepted" on the ordering table indicate the number of single-width blocks accepted by each block heater. A heater that accepts two single-width blocks will accept one double-width block. Use three- and four-block models for high-throughput applications such as chemical oxygen demand (COD).

Interchangeable aluminum heating blocks provide excellent thermal conductivity and accommodate various test tubes, cups, and plates. Depending on the combination of blocks selected, plastic spacers (36620-67) can be used to fill a half-width recess, ensuring optimal thermal performance. Most blocks come with a separate hole to accept a thermometer. Order a flexi-block to accommodate multiple size tubes, vials, or cuvettes at once. Unskirted PCR plates can be heated in either size flexi-block. Skirted microtiter plates, deep-well plates, and PCR plates can only be incubated in the triple-width version.
