Sterile, individually wrapped, and pyrogen, DNase, and RNase free models are offered for cell culture applications. Heavy duty rim flasks with narrow neck and mouth from various suppliers are also available. The polypropylene screw caps are vented with 0.2µm membranes to increase air transmission and enhance cell growth. The mouth size conforms with the international SBS standard, for quick, secure connection to bioreactor equipment.Polycarbonate flasks and Jumbo Fernbach flasks have baffled (ribbed) bottoms to provide increased oxygenation and mixing efficiency even at lower shaking speeds. All flasks, regardless of size, are individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to SAL 10-6, and they are free of RNase, DNase, pyrogen, endotoxins and human DNA. Polycarbonate Flasks are autoclavable at 121°C and 15PSI for 30 minutes.

Lightweight plastic material is easier and safer to handle than glass. Designed for mammalian suspension culture applications as well as bacterial & yeast culture. Baffled flasks enhance both vertical and circular culture movement to improve aeration. Vent cap options are available to prevent the common mistake of unintentionally sealing the cap completely and preventing gas exchange. All flasks include molded graduation lines and feature a molded 1/3 fill line to help ensure optimal working volumes. Individually bagged for easy storage and handling. Medical grade virgin Polycarbonate is autoclavable (temperature range of -80°C – 121°C). Working volumes are recommendations only; optimize as required for individual protocols.
