Cartridge systems make changing gas filters quick and easy. A base plate allows cartridges to be exchanged without introducing oxygen. Spring-loaded check valves seal when a filter is removed and open only when a new filter has been locked in place. There is no longer a need for loosening and tightening fittings every time a trap is changed and your system will not become contaminated during the process. Carrier Gas Purity Carrier gas should contain less than 1ppm of oxygen, moisture, or other trace contaminants, to prevent column degradation, increase column lifetime, and decrease stationary phase bleed. The expense of using high-purity gases in combination with carrier gas line purifiers will be offset by longer column lifetime and less GC maintenance. 250mL Gas Evolution Measurement Apparatus. Apparatus provides a convenient and accurate method for the determination of the concentration or purity of active metals and metal hydrides. Metals and metal hydrides that can be analyzed in this manner include borane-methyl sulfide complexes, borane tetrahydrofuran, sodium and lithium as dispersions in mineral oil, lithium aluminum hydride. These active metals and metal hydrides react rapidly and quantitatively with suitable hydrolytic solvents to produce hydrogen gas. Available in three capacities: 50ml, 250ml and 1000ml. All complete units supplied with a buret, a CG-3502-04, -10 to 260º thermometer, a CG-1042-01 24/40 thermometer adapter and a leveling bulb with a 24/40 top outer and a lower detachable hose connection. The leveling bulb capacity varies with the capacity of the buret and has a hose connection of 8mm O.D. Flexible tubing is not supplied with the apparatus.
