The Malin Company Lockwire is a 0.032 inch diameter stainless steel lockwire used to prevent loosening of threaded fasteners. It comes in a 225 foot roll and features a tensile strength of 300,000 psi. The lockwire creates a lock effect when installed in a crisscross pattern to secure bolts, screws, nuts and other threaded assemblies. It conforms to military specification MS20995C and is made in the USA. The lockwire works by applying a radial force against the threads to resist any loosening from vibration. It can be installed quickly by hand with standard lockwire pliers.
