The Instech VABR2T/25-ABS is a two-channel Vascular Access Button™ designed for rats, specifically optimized for use with the ABS2™ automated blood sampling system. It features two independent 25-gauge (25ga) fluid channels within a single transcutaneous port, allowing for simultaneous infusion and blood withdrawal. The device includes a 1 in (2.54 cm) surgical-grade polyester felt disk for secure subcutaneous attachment and stable tissue ingrowth. Using a magnetic connection for low-stress attachment to a shielded spring tether, it ensures a closed system that maintains catheter patency and animal health during long-term studies.

This implantable button for mice connects two independent fluid channels simply by engaging the mating tether. It is designed for glucose clamping and other applications where simultaneous blood sampling and infusion is required. Access the small PinPorts™, one red and one white, manually using a syringe fitted with a PNP3M injector.
Available in three configurations:
- VABM2JB/25R25 - 14mm polyester felt disk, two 25ga catheter connectors (for 2Fr or 1-2Fr catheters) facing tail.
- VABM2JBSM/25R25 - 14mm silicone mesh disk with holes for tissue growth, two 25ga catheter connectors facing sides. Developed in cooperation with The Jackson Laboratory.
