LabExact Grade Quartz A glass microfiber filters are a fine porosity, binderless quartz (SiO₂) media with 99.999% air filtration efficiency for the retention of 2.2µm particles. This grade has an effective temperature range up to 1000°C and meets or exceeds the physical, performance, and elemental requirements for EPA PM10 ambient air monitoring methods. The material exhibits a flow rate of 1.1 to 1.35m³/min with a resistance of 95mm H₂O at 10.5ft/min, a loss on ignition of less than 6%, and tensile strength values of 215g per 15mm per ASTM D828 with a machine‑direction tensile strength of 7.3lbs/in per TAPPI T494. Grade Quartz A is primarily used in air pollution monitoring, atomic absorption spectroscopy, flame emission spectrometry, and other applications requiring critical analytical accuracy, and is ideal for use in acidic gases except hydrofluoric acid, aerosols, stack emissions, and flue gas monitoring.
