Very fine mesh grids have up to 2,000 lines/inch. There is an increasing need in TEM for support films, routinely carbon, as thin as 1.5 - 2.0 nm. The pitch (the distance from the center of one bar to the center of the next bar) dimension in all grids remains constant, allowing use as a lower magnification calibration aid.
Apart from one side being shiny, the other matt, there is a large asymmetrical mark in the rim which gives the identification of which side the specimen is on. Grids are 3.05 mm overall diameter; 2.05 mm mesh area diameter.

The PathScan Enabler 5 is a perfect compliment to any microscope imaging workstation. It allows scanning of whole mounted histological samples attached to standard 1 x 3 inch cover slipped glass slides. The PathScan Enabler 5 solves low power, large field of view, and high resolution imaging problems.
Scan area is 24.3 x 36.5 mm, resulting in stunning, incredible images up to 14,320 x 9,522 pixels! The PathScan Enabler 5 holds two (2) 1 x 3 inch glass slides and includes simple to use software for both Windows and Mac computers. The polarizing holder accepts a single geological 1 x 2 inch glass slide. The PathScan Enabler 5 is designed not to replace, but complement, a microscope and digital camera. The entire sample is scanned with an even, clear background and makes a perfect overview image that can be viewed in a variety of software programs. Image scans are equivalent to 4X microscope resolution.

A Formvar film coated with a “heavier” layer of carbon. This is the strongest and most versatile support film we produce. It is stable in the EM under all operating conditions including high magnification with high beam intensity. The films can withstand vigorous specimen preparation techniques. If the carbon surface is hydrophobic, specimen suspensions can be applied to the Formvar surface.

Grade SPI-2. Very similar to ZYB(see below), this grade exhibits a mosaic angle as small as 0.8° +/- 0.2°. This grade is slightly less highly ordered than SPI-1 but is acceptable for most users. The lateral grain size can be up to 0.5 mm but can be as large as 1 mm. Note that this grade is slightly less "cleavable" than the 0.4° mosaic spread product, that is, SPI-1. Most workers find this grade more than suitable for all but the most critical samples, but priced low enough for routine use. Some users prefer this grade to SPI-1 because the cleavage steps are slightly wavy, so samples are held in place better (e.g. better adhesion). Dimensions = 10 mm x 10 mm x 1 mm

Cargille has been serving microscopists since 1940 when it introduced the first non-drying immersion oil formula. Since then, they have continued to improve and expand their line of immersion oils to become the undisputed leaders in immersion oil technology. Oils are available in a number of different formulations and can be readily mixed to create intermediate viscosities as required. Microscopists requiring fluorescence free immersion oils will want to use either PCB-free Type DF, with the highest resolution of any fluorescence immersion oil, or PCB-free Type FF. Type FF immersion oil provides virtually no background fluorescence making it ideal for observing low levels of fluorescence. It is highly stable, non-hydroscopic, and can be substituted for all other fluorescence microscopy oils and liquids in nearly all fluorescence applications. 100ml

Types B offers a viscosity of 1250 cSt, and is used in normal light microscopy. The viscosity B type is used as the gap between the cover glass and objective or condenser and slide increases.
