The Alkali HS-10 Plus Hotplate Stirrer supports heating and stirring of up to five sample vessels simultaneously Unlike traditional multi-position stirrers the HS-10 model features a large (10 x 10 in ) square top plate that provides the flexibility to heat and stir larger sample vessles up to ten inches in diameter (including 1x10L bottles) The top-plate features a durable chemically resistant white-ceramic coating that provides exceptionally uniform heating for temperature up to 400C The five stirring locations are clearly marked to ease sample loading and ensuring proper positioning of vessels Temperature and mixing speed can be viewed on the large digital display and a safety LED illuminates when the top plate temperature exceeds 50C An external temperature probe can also be used for applications that require precise control of sample temperature The probe provides direct feedback to the microprocessor with constant monitoring and adjustments for maintaining the selected temp
