This line-powered micro drill will make easy work of grinding, finishing, cutting and drilling bone, teeth and other material. The high-torque 35,000 rpm (maximum) motor is quiet and has minimal vibration which reduces wear on the motor and provides greater comfort for you. It also features a forward and reverse switch, “E Type” handpiece and handpiece holder. The handpiece has a removable nose cone that can be cleaned and sterilized. It accepts 3/32” and 2.33mm bur shanks. Unlike battery-powered drills, this unit maintains consistent power for the duration of use. The wide range of speeds allows you to control the amount of heat generation.

This rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of chromium-free tool steel grinds the sample gently through a pure cutting action.
Alternatively a rotor with straight cutting edges and fixed knives made of chromium-free tool steel is offered, which also grinds the samples gently with a pure cutting action, but can only be used for easily cut materials and therefore does not offer an as effective size reduction like the rotor with V-cutting edges.
The rotors made of chromium-free tool steel are especially recommended for the sample preparation according to RoHS and WEEE (for the verification of hexavalent chromium) and for the XRF-analysis.
For all other applications we recommend our cutting tool set made of tool steel and hardmetal tungsten carbide, since these are harder and therefore more resilient against abrasion.
