The Ball End Mill from Ball is a high-speed steel end mill with a ball end for milling contoured surfaces. It has a 1/2" shank diameter, a 2" overall length, and a 1/2" cutting diameter. The end mill has 4 flutes and a right-hand spiral. It is made of M42 high-speed steel for wear resistance and has TiAlN coating for heat resistance and lubricity. The end mill has a 30 degree helix angle and is center cutting for plunge milling. It is designed for high feed rates in light milling applications. The end mill is manufactured in the USA by Ball to tight geometric tolerances.

The thread mill has a 1/2" shank and is capable of cutting unified thread sizes from 4-56 to 1/4-20 as well as metric thread sizes from M1.6 to M6.
