Electron Microscopy Sciences Easy Dip™ Kit (Slide Staining Jar and Rack), White
The EasyDip Slide Staining system has a square staining jar and a 12-position vertical slide staining rack. Jars can be loosely joined to each other laterally.
The Staining Jar is made of acetal plastic and resists attacks from most staining reagents including alcohol and xylenes but not phenols. The wide stable base offers stability while the inside is recessed, allowing for a smaller reagent volume of only 80 ml. Ideal for frozen sections, small jobs, and special processes.
The EasyDip Slide Staining Rack will hold up to 12 slides of 25x75 mm with a thickness of 1.0 to 1.2 mm. These racks are safe up to 120 deg C. The lid completely covers the EasyDip Slide Staining Jar to minimize spill and evaporation. Handle is permanently attached to the rack for easy insertion or removal of the slide. Cargille Meltmount (optical quality) is a series of mounting media which are specifically formulated for use in microscope slide mounting and in other optical coupling applications.
< Use Meltmount for instant thermal mountants that require "no-oven-time" and are thermally reversible for sample retrieval or re-orientation. Meltmounts are PBC free and contains no solvents. Cleanup in toluene. Fluid at 65 degree C. It is a direct replacement for old mountant mediums (Canada Balsam, Aroclor 5442, Naphrax...) It has a refractive index (nD @25 deg C) of 1.704 and an Abbe V dispersion of 24, similar to Naphrax.
