Simply place your object in a mold, mix and pour Acrylic Plastic over it. In an hour it is hard and your object is firmly embedded in a clear, stable plastic. For high-gloss finish, it can be polished with a soft cloth. Mold making and casting can be done in two hours. Acrylic Plastic Casting is a thermosetting acrylic-polymer plastic with excellent clarity and stabile characteristics. The kit is available with 1 pint of resin and hardener, or 1quart of resin and hardener.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Process/Embedding Cassettes, White
Disposable plastic tissue cassettes are used for holding and identifying tissue samples in processing, embedding, and sectioning procedures. The cassettes fit securely in microtome chuck adapters. They are totally resistant to histological solvents. These cassettes are designed to accept standard metal lids and will also fit either the standard stainless steel base molds or the disposable plastic ones. Made from Acetal copolymer.

Paraffin tappers hold the heat so the tissue stays flat in the mold and is embedded in the same plane for easier cutting. The paraffin tappers are helpful with multiple piece skins, large pieces of uterus, and even those multi-piece biopsies. They reduce re-cuts and re-embeds, as the tissue is perfectly embedded in the embedding mold the first time.

The efficient flow-through slots maximize fluid exchange and ensure proper drainage.
The one-piece snap-latch and hinge-lock design prevents early separation of base and lid and allows one-hand operation. Lids are attached in an open position for easy filling, but can be opened or closed as often as necessary and will always relock securely. The tab on the left front side makes opening easy. Lids are easily removed by pulling sideways. The anterior writing area is at a 35 degree angle.
