iXCells Biotechnologies Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs), 25M
Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) is any blood cell with a single nucleus. PBMCs consist of lymphocytes (T, B and NK cells), monocytes and dendritic cells. iXCells Biotechnologies offers PBMCs from the human peripheral blood of individual healthy donors. These PBMCs are purified from peripheral blood using ficoll gradient centrifugation.

Chicken whole blood is washed to remove the platelet rich plasma, buffy coat layer, and leukocytes (WBC). Red blood cells are supplied as a 10 percent suspension in phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Chicken red blood cells are useful for the titration of complement, adsorption procedures, testing for agglutinins/HA assays, and for the preparation of stroma as particulate reagents. Chicken red blood cells are perishable and are collected and processed upon receipt of your order.

ATCC C2C12; Muscle Myoblast; Mouse (Mus musculus)
C2C12 is a myoblast cell line that is a subclone (produced by H. Blau, et al) of the mouse myoblast cell line established by D. Yaffe and O. Saxel. The C2C12 cell line differentiates rapidly, forming contractile myotubes and producing characteristic muscle proteins. Treatment with bone morphogenic protein 2 (BMP-2) cause a shift in the differentiation pathway from myoblastic to osteoblastic.

ATCC's L-Glutamine, 200 mM, 100X
L-Glutamine 200 mM Solution (29.23 mg/mL). L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid required by virtually all mammalian and insect cells grown in culture. L-Glutamine is also more labile in cell culture solutions than other amino acids. The rate and extent of L-glutamine degradation are related to storage temperatures, age of the product, and pH. All cell culture media are formulated to contain appropriate amounts of L-glutamine to support cell growth well beyond the expiration date of the media. However, if L-glutamine is suspected to be a limiting factor during cell culture, a simple test of ‘spiking’ the medium with a small amount of L-glutamine will determine whether or not more is required. Simply add a small amount of L-glutamine (~ 2 mM final concentration) to the culture medium. If the cell growth rate increases, L-glutamine is most likely deficient and more should be added. It has applications for cell culture, cell growth, and viability.
