ACROBiosystems HEK293/Human STEAP1 Stable Cell Line
Six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate 1 (STEAP1) is an integral membrane protein that is highly up-regulated on the cell surface of several human cancers, making it a promising therapeutic target to manage these diseases. It shares sequence homology with three enzymes (STEAP2-STEAP4) that catalyze the NADPH-dependent reduction of iron(III). Taking into account its high specificity and overexpression in human cancers, STEAP1 is nowadays a promising candidate to be imposed as a therapeutic target.

Eurofins Discoverx PathHunter F2RL1 Activated GPCR Internalization U2OS Cell Line, 2 vials. (93-0747C3)
The PathHunter F2RL1 Activated GPCR internalization cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) affecting GPCR activation and internalization. This cell line uses EFC technology to measure ligand-induced internalization of F2RL1 via detection of localization to the early endosome. The included cell line overexpresses EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2 as well as a ProLink-tagged early endosome protein and untagged F2RL1. Upon ligand-induced receptor activation, β-Arrestin-2 is recruited to the activated GPCR and the resulting F2RL1-arrestin complex is internalized to the early endosome, leading to production of EFC signal. This stable modified cell line is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells. For detailed product information, User Manual and datasheet, visit www.discoverx.com/gpcr.

Promocell GmbH PromoCell HCM-c 500,000 Human Cardiac Myocytes, cryopreserved
Primary Human Cardiac Myocytes (HCM) are isolated from the ventricles of the adult heart. Unlike freshly isolated rod-shaped myocytes, cultured HCM can be used for long-term experiments like investigating the long-term effects of cytokines, mechanical strain, or cell-cell interactions, as they are prepared according to a special protocol.Initially, the HCM act more like progenitor cells in that they are not yet fully differentiated. They express the markers of early stage differentiation such as GATA-4 and sarcomeric alpha-actin and have a high capacity for proliferation. When they are grown to confluency and cultivated for an extended period of time, the differentiation process begins. Markers of late differentiation (e.g. sarcomeric alpha-actinin, slow muscle myosin) are increased and the cells begin to form myotube-like structures. Our HCM are now also available from HLA-typed and Diabetes Diabetes Type I and Type II/Cardiomypathy donors.

BioChain's tissue products are based on the sample repository network established following the IRB-approved ethical standard and procedures. BioChain's formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue section line encompasses a large selection of tissue sections which are suitable for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization assays. The tissue sections are approximately 5 um thick. For those customers who want to perform FFPE DNA and RNA isolation, BioChain can provide tissue section slices in tubes instead of mounting them on glass slides.

LGC GENOMICS LLC (Lucigen) OverExpress C41(DE3) Chem Comp Cells, 12 Rxns (SOLOs)
Express difficult or toxic proteins using standard E. coli T7 expression vectors using these unique strains. Some strains also available in electrocompetent format.Lucigens OverExpress Electrocompetent and Chemically Competent Cells are E. coli strains that are effective in expressing toxic proteins from all classes of organisms, including eubacteria, yeasts, plants, viruses, and mammals. The effectiveness of these new strains in expressing toxic proteins has been validated in more than 350 publications. The OverExpress strains contain genetic mutations phenotypically selected for conferring tolerance to toxic proteins. The strain C41(DE3) was derived from BL21(DE3). This strain has at least one mutation, which prevents cell death associated with expression of many recombinant toxic proteins. The strain C43(DE3) was derived from C41(DE3) by selecting for resistance to a different toxic protein and can express a different set of toxic proteins to C41(DE3).

The muscarinic cholinergic receptors belong to a larger family of G protein-coupled receptors. The functional diversity of these receptors is defined by the binding of acetylcholine and includes cellular responses such as adenylate cyclase inhibition, phosphoinositide degeneration, and potassium channel mediation. Muscarinic receptors influence many effects of acetylcholine in the central and peripheral nervous system. The muscarinic cholinergic receptor 1 is involved in mediation of vagally-induced bronchoconstriction and in the acid secretion of the gastrointestinal tract. The gene encoding this receptor is localized to 11q13.
