- Acts as an inhibitor of peptidylarginine deiminase (PAD).
- Demonstrated cytotoxicity against human U2OS cells with an EC50 of 8.8 μM after 72 hours by XTT assay, and an IC50 of 8.8 μM after 72 hours by MTT assay.
- In MRL/lpr mice, treatment subtly reduces splenomegaly, shows a trend towards increased circulating levels of anti-NET antibodies, and significantly improves endothelium-dependent vasorelaxation.
- Also shows a strong trend towards downregulation of IRGs and significantly improves muzzle alopecia.
