Biotium CD25(IL2RA/423), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Recognizes a protein of 55 kDa, identified as CD25. It is expressed on activated T- and B-cells and activated monocytes/macrophages. With respect to lymphomas, CD25 is present on malignant cells of Hodgkin's disease, HTLV-1 adult T-cell leukemia, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and hair cell leukemia. Increased levels of soluble CD25 are observed in the leukemias/lymphomas and inflammatory/ autoimmune diseases. CD25 molecule alone appears to function as a low affinity receptor and associates with CD122 (IL-2R beta chain, p75) and CD132 (common gamma chain) to form the high affinity IL-2 receptor complex. CD25 antibodies detect three epitope regions, A, B and C. The mouse monoclonal antibody recognizes CD1b, a 44 kDa type I glycoprotein associated with beta2-microglobulin. It is expressed on dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, thymocytes, and T acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells. The CD1 multigene family encodes five forms of the CD1 T-cell surface glycoprotein in human, designated CD1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and 1E. CD1, a type 1 membrane protein, has structural similarity to the MHC class I antigen and has been shown to present lipid antigens for recognition by T lymphocytes. Constitutive endocytosis of CD1B molecules and the differential sorting of MHC class II from lysosomes separate peptide- and lipid antigen-presenting molecules during dendritic cell maturation. Recognizes a protein of 80 kDa-90 kDa, identified as CD36. It is expressed on platelets, monocytes and macrophages, microvascular endothelial cells, erythrocyte precursors, mammary epithelial cells, and some macrophage derived dendritic cells. CD36 acts as a receptor for thrombospondin (TSP), collagen types I, IV and V, P. falciparum malaria-infected erythrocytes, and sickle erythrocytes. This MAb is specific to kappa light chain of immunoglobulin and shows no cross-reaction with lambda light chain or any of the five heavy chains. In mammals, the two light chains in an antibody are always identical, with only one type of light chain, kappa or lambda. The ratio of Kappa to Lambda is 70:30. However, with the occurrence of multiple myeloma or other B-cell malignancies this ratio is disturbed.
