Biotium CF568 Maleimide
CF Dye Maleimides are thiol-reactive fluorescent dyes. Maleimides are commonly used to label proteins on free thiol groups. CF dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Red fluorescent CF568 dye has excitation/emission at 562/583 nm.
Biotium CD28(CB28), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Recognizes a glycoprotein of 44-88 kDa, which is identified as CD28. It is the critical T-cell co-stimulatory receptor which provides to the cell the important second activation signal by binding CD80 and CD86 that are expressed by antigen presenting cells. Besides its co-stimulation role, CD28 functions in preventing T-cells from anergic hyporesponsive state or from undergoing premature apoptotic cell death. CD28 is also expressed on human fetal NK cells and some NK cell lines, whereas on murine NK cells the CD28 expression is much broader.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium CF594 Hydrazide
Our CF dye hydrazides are bright, extremely water-soluble and nontoxic. These properties make the dyes excellent fixable polar tracers for microinjection into cells. Hydrazides also can be used for labeling aldehyde or ketone groups, however, for this application we recommend using the more reactive CF dye aminooxy forms. CF dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Deep-red fluorescent CF594 dye has excitation/emission at 593/614 nm.
Biotium CD34(ICO-115), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This antibody recognizes a carbohydrate epitope on a single chain, transmembrane, heavily glycosylated protein of 90-120 kDa, which is identified as CD34 (VI international workshop on human differentiation antigens). Its expression is a hallmark for identifying pluripotent hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells. Its expression is gradually lost as lineage committed progenitors differentiate. CD34 is a marker of choice for staining blasts in acute myeloid leukemia. In addition, it is expressed by soft tissue tumors, such as solitary fibrous tumor and gastrointestinal stromal tumor. CD34 expression is also found in vascular endothelium. Additionally, proliferating endothelial cells overexpress this molecule than the non-proliferating endothelial cells. Biotium CD44 Standard(HCAM/918), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Recognizes a cell surface glycoprotein of 80-95 kDa (CD44) on lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes (Leucocyte Typing Workshop V). Its epitope is resistant to digestion by trypsin and chymotrypsin. The CD44 family of glycoproteins exists in a number of variant isoforms, the most common being the standard 85-95 kDa or hematopoietic variant (CD44s). Higher molecular weight isoforms are described in epithelial cells (CD44v), which are believed to function in intercellular adhesion and stromal binding. Recognizes a protein of 55 kDa, identified as CD25. It is expressed on activated T- and B-cells and activated monocytes/macrophages. With respect to lymphomas, CD25 is present on malignant cells of Hodgkin's disease, HTLV-1 adult T-cell leukemia, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and hair cell leukemia. Increased levels of soluble CD25 are observed in the leukemias/lymphomas and inflammatory/ autoimmune diseases. CD25 molecule alone appears to function as a low affinity receptor and associates with CD122 (IL-2R beta chain, p75) and CD132 (common gamma chain) to form the high affinity IL-2 receptor complex. CD25 antibodies detect three epitope regions, A, B and C. In Western blotting, this antibody reacts with two bands of ~MW of 210 kDa and 300 kDa, identified as two isoforms of Tenascin C. Specificity of this MAb is validated by sequential immunoprecipitation with a PAb against Tenascin C. Tenascin C is a multifunctional, disulfide-linkedhexameric extracellular matrix glycoprotein expressed in association with mesenchymal epithelial interactions during development and in the neo-vasculature and stroma of undifferentiated tumors. Biotium Smooth Muscle Actin(1A4), CF640R conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Actin is a major component of the cytoskeleton and is present in most cell types. This MAb is highly specific to actin from smooth muscles. Its epitope lies in the first four N-terminal amino acids. This MAb does not stain cardiac or skeletal muscle; however, it does stain myofibroblasts and myoepithelial cells. This antibody could be used together with anti-muscle specific actin and myogenin in making a diagnosis of smooth muscle and skeletal muscle tumors. In most cases of rhabdomyosarcoma, this antibody yields negative results whereas anti-muscle specific actin and myogenin are positive.
