High temperature-resistant permanent labels for identifying various containers and surfaces that undergo autoclaving and dry heat sterilization. Temperature range from -60°C to +150°C (-76°F to +300°F). The labels can be applied to metal, plastic, and glass surfaces and withstand 20 autoclave sterilization cycles at +121°C (+250°F) and 16.5 psi pressure. The labels and the printout can withstand high temperature exposures as well as gamma irradiation (up to 50 KGy) and ethylene oxide sterilization. Ideal for identifying containers and surfaces that need to be sterilized inside autoclaves, dry-heat sterilizing equipment, and with gamma irradiators. Labels for microcentrifuge tubes and other containers are temperature resistant from -40 degree C to 121 degree C and can be used in boiling water baths, autoclaving, and moderate freezer temperatures. Chemically inert, polyester sheets resist most organic solvents and caustic agents. They adhere to most plastics, glass and metals without cracking, peeling or degrading. Tubes labeled with Tough-Tags easily slide in and out of centrifuge rotors without binding. Label sheets are specially top-coated to readily accept laser printing. Heat-resistant, stay-flat sheets will not jam in laser printers.
