Title: Leading-Edge SARS-CoV-2 Testing

Date: Monday, November 30

Time: 2 p.m. ET

Presenters: Jeffrey Andrews, MD, FRCSC

Addressing the Ongoing Pandemic

As many continue to tackle the day-to-day battle against COVID-19, it’s critical that we share the latest insights into the disease to ensure mutual understanding and learning. The coming winter will put management of both COVID-19 and flu infections at the forefront of healthcare challenges, where leading-edge thinking may be the only route to helping healthcare providers save lives and protect communities.

This P.A.C.E.-accredited Fisher Healthcare webinar will be a scientific exchange of insights from Jeff Andrews, MD, FRCSC, a leading expert in molecular diagnostics. He will review the relevant basics of the COVID-19 disease and the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including the incubation period, pre-symptomatic period, symptomatic phase, and asymptomatic infections. Dr. Andrews will also plot the patterns of viral load, antigen sensitivity, PCR sensitivity, and antibody sensitivity.

Learning Objectives

This webinar will help you:

  • Identify what we know about influenza vs. COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2
  • Explore insights to inform the next 12 months and discuss the forecasted impact of COVID-19
