1-Azakenpaullone (1-Akp) is a highly selective, ATP-competitive inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3 β (GSK-3β) with an IC50 of 18 nM. For research use only, it stimulates proliferation in irradiated zebrafish lateral line neuromasts and induces osteoblastic differentiation and mineralization of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) via Wnt signaling. In vivo, it reverses ketamine-induced locomotor hyperactivity in male NMRI mice.
