ATCC 4T1-GFP-Luc2 (CRL-2539-GFP-LUC2) Mouse mammary tumor cell line - dual GFP and luc2 (luciferase) reporter, adherent

Supplier:  ATCC CRL2539GFPLUC2

Encompass

4T1-GFP-Luc2 is a dual-reporter mouse mammary carcinoma cell line derived from the 4T1 parental line. It constitutively expresses green fluorescent protein (GFP) and firefly luciferase (luc2), enabling both fluorescent and bioluminescent detection for in vitro imaging, functional assays, and in vivo tumor monitoring. Cells are adherent and maintained under puromycin selection for routine culture; remove selection prior to co-culture or specific experimental procedures.

  • Species: Mus musculus (mouse).
  • Tissue/disease: Mammary gland; models metastatic breast cancer (stage IV).
  • Cell type: Epithelial-like, adherent growth.
  • Markers expressed: GFP and firefly luciferase (luc2) for fluorescence and bioluminescence readouts.
  • Storage: Maintain cryopreserved vials in vapor-phase liquid nitrogen.
  • Applications: In vitro fluorescent assays, bioluminescence assays, and in vivo tumor imaging and drug-response studies.
