This monoclonal antibody, clone 5A1, reacts with mouse colony stimulating factor 1 (CSF1), also known as macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF). CSF1 is a hematopoietic growth factor expressed by various cell types including fibroblasts, stromal cells, osteoblasts, activated T cells, macrophages, and B cells. It regulates the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of monocytes, macrophages, and bone marrow progenitor cells. The 5A1 antibody has been demonstrated to neutralize CSF1 in vivo.
