This monoclonal antibody (AFS98 clone) targets mouse colony stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R), also known as macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor (M-CSFR), and CD115. CSF1R is a single-pass type I membrane protein found on monocytes/macrophages, peritoneal exudate cells, plasmacytoid and conventional dendritic cells, and osteoclasts in mice. It acts as a receptor for CSF1, regulating the proliferation and differentiation of monocytic lineage cells. The AFS98 antibody depletes macrophages and blocks CSFR1 in vivo.
