Specificity: Clone TIF-3C5 recognizes an epitope on mouse IFNα. Cell sources: Many cell types including lymphocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and fibroblasts can be stimulated or induced by viral and microbial infections to produce and secrete type I interferons, including Interferon-alpha (IFN-α) subtypes. Background: IFN-α subtypes (along with IFN-β) bind to a common heterodimeric receptor complex (IFN-α/β Receptor) that is comprised of IFNAR-1 and IFNR-2. Applications: (WB, B) Clone TIF-3C5 binds specifically to murine IFNa species (IFN-αA, -1, -4, -5, -11. and -13) and does not bind murine IFNg or IFNb. Leinco’s In vivo GOLDTM and In vivo PLATINUMTM functional antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
