  • Consistently activates insulin promoter activity, increasing GFP-positive cells and endogenous insulin mRNA levels.
  • Stimulates HNF4α expression and alters HNF4α protease sensitivity.
  • Decreases the synthesis of acid-soluble products and ketone bodies from oleate.
  • Markedly increases the production of 14CO2 into the citric acid cycle.
  • Inhibits gluconeogenesis from lactate/pyruvate in a dose-dependent manner.
