Blebbistatin (so named because of its ability to block cell blebbing) is a selective and high-affinity (IC50 approx. 4 µM) inhibitor of non-muscle myosin II. During cell division blebbistatin inhibits contraction of the cleavage furrow without disrupting mitosis. It inhibits pancreatic adenocarcinoma cellular invasiveness and PDGF-stimulated fibroblast-collagen matrix contraction. Purity: ≥97%. Solubility: Soluble in DMSO (25mg/ml). Long Term Storage: -20°C.
